First 5k Training

This 8-week program is for those interested in working towards their first 5k. This training group takes you from walking 3 blocks to walking or running 3.1 miles. Workouts are in a supportive environment with coaches and informative seminars.

Level:

Beginning & intermediate walkers and runners
Types of workouts:
We will help you build a solid base and also introduce a variety of workouts including tempo runs, hill repeats, and speed work. Targeted at both runners and walkers, with separate pace groups as needed.
Program includes:
  • Personalized workout schedule
  • Weekly group walks/runs in a non-
    competitive environment
  • Informative seminars & training aids
  • Certified & supportive coaches
  • Race day support & checklist
  • Training team singlet
